Now that the Cricut Design Offset Tool beta is available, I can use any design in my library to create printable and then pre-cut labels! I am so excited!
Stickers are one of the most popular things to make with a Cricut machine, whether you're counting on journalism or want to make stickers for invitations or adverts, the big advantage is that you can customize the design and cut it out at home.
But if you have a Cricut Joy machine, you may not know how to make them, because most of the sticker tutorials only use the features of the Cricut Maker and Cricut Explore machines. It is possible to make stickers with the Cricut Joy, but it requires a slightly different skill set than the larger machines.
So let me explain two very easy (and fun!) ways to make stickers with the Cricut Joy.
I created a step-by-step tutorial using the Flamingo SVG package available in my store as an example of how to create stickers with the Cricut Offset Tool. It's very simple and no different than the usual Cricut Print and then Cut method - it's just a few extra steps to add before printing!

The ability to create labels with any design is a great reason to subscribe to Cricut Access - you can turn any 2D image into a label! That means tens of thousands of possibilities!

- If you're not used to using SVG files with your Cricut machine, you can read my full article on how to upload SVG files to Cricut Design Space.
- Upload your designs to Design Space and select the ones you want to add to your canvas. Split them into sections and resize them as needed.
To organize the template layers panel, select a group for each template and click the "Customize" button. This will convert the cut SVG pattern into a printable pattern, which will then be cropped.
A panel will appear with options to show spacing, round or square corners, and welding. In this project, only the offset distance needs to be specified. The goal is for the sticker to wrap around the entire SVG design and not leave "gaps" or "spaces" between letters or design elements.
Making custom stickers on a Cricut machine is a very popular project. However, in most tutorials, Cricut stickers are made using the Print Then Cut function (you can see my full tutorial here: How to make stickers with Cricut's Print Then Cut function). While Print Then Cut is the easiest and most efficient way to make beautiful stickers at home, there is one important limitation: Print Then Cut only works with Cricut Explore and Cricut Maker machines.
Yes, you read correctly. Unfortunately, Print Then Cut is not available for Cricut Joy's ........ So you can't print stickers with your home printer and then cut them out with the Cricut Joy. I know ...... It's a shame!
You can resize the sticker if needed, or make a copy and click the "Make" button. You can check your design one last time to make sure it's cut correctly. To make it easier to see on the carpet, I changed the color of the offset to grey.
Follow the on-screen instructions to print the design and then cut it out. If you want to know more about printing and cutting, see my guide to printable stickers.

But if you like stickers and have a Cricut Joy, all is not lost. While you can't make stickers from stamps, there are lots of other ways to make food anime stickers using a thin knife (which comes with the Cricut Joy machine) and the Cricut Joy pencil combined with a variety of beautiful materials.
How do I make die-cut stickers with the Cricut Joy?
The first (and easiest!) way to make stickers using the Cricut Joy method is to cut simple (and fun!) stickers from any sticky material, such as sticky paper, Smart Paper sticker shapes, etc. Thanks to the many free shapes available in Cricut Design Space, making these stickers is not only quick, it's cheap!
Why don't I recommend using self-adhesive vinyl stickers?
Technically, stickers can be cut from any material that has sticky properties. I would recommend stickers and cardboard most of all, as they cut very well and can be easily peeled off the paper.
Ordinary self-adhesive material can technically be considered sticky material, but I don't like it for sticker projects. Vinyl isn't the easiest to peel off with your fingers (like regular stickers) because you usually need a tool to peel it off, and
