The clear cell phone case is most often associated with the cell phone itself. Although it is essentially there to protect the cell phone, it does not offer an aesthetically pleasing look. It looks ordinary and boring. We know that the case is not there to flaunt, but only to protect the phone, but what's the harm if it can do both at the same time.
Also, we often keep important things on our phone cases, like subway maps, some money, or IDs, and we don't want anyone to see them - for privacy reasons and because it doesn't look good. So what is the solution to all these problems?
Customizing your transparent phone case.
There is a simple solution for this. Simply customize your transparent phone case. Now you are wondering how to do that. Don't worry, because here come some simple methods. With these simple tricks, you can change the look of your transparent phone case at home with minimal effort. Trust us, it will look fantastic and your phone case will catch everyone's eyes.
Today I'm going to show you another super simple project you can make with the Cricut. I've been getting a few requests lately for projects for Cricut beginners. Cell phone cases are relatively inexpensive, so this is a great way to practice using adhesive pieces of vinyl.
Transferring the design.
This project for a Cricut phone case is so easy, you don't even need transfer tape. Just peel the stickers off by hand and stick them on your phone case as stickers!
- Start by going to the Cricut Design Space for yous sticker and uploading your SVG (see ) for more information. Once the cat is on the table, measure your phone case and then change the width of the image to fit your phone case. Since my phone is curved at the corners, I resized the cat to fit the straight edges of the case, which is 2.5″ wide.
- When you cut out this design using Cricut Joy, a pop-up window will appear asking you to choose a mat. You can cut out a regular vinyl mat or use Smart Vinyl, which does not require a mat. If you cut it out using Cricut Explore or Cricut Maker, you will go directly to the Make screen.
- The Make screen is where the Cricut machine connects to your machine. You will then select your material. If you are using the Cricut Explore, turn the wheel. If you are using the Maker or Joy, you make your selection on the screen. To make my phone case sticker pack simple, I used durable vinyl, but be careful what material you choose.
- After you have selected your fabric, the system will prompt you to insert the blade into the machine if it is not already in there.
- Place the fabric on the carpet (unless you are using Cricut Joy Smart Vinyl) and insert the fabric or carpet into the Cricut. The Joy will automatically load the fabric/carpet into the machine, but for Cricut Explore or Maker you will need to press the arrow keys.
